I went to the Salon 2x this week. Last Tuesday, I wanted to get a haircut really badly but Ryan, my selected stylist said it would be better if we get it done after I get my colour done to keep the hair length - which was today, Friday. I was happy about that because he had the concern but I was wish I was informed on the phone (I called them before coming over). I live 20 mins away. He suggested that we go for a balayage on my next appointment and I mentioned that I want my hair to be light but not looking cheap orange.
I was really looking forward for my colour appointment but due to hunger, I came 10 mins late for my 5PM appointment. It was good, Ryan was able to get rid of my old hair colour, which I really loved but the balayage looked more like an ombre and the worst part was it turned orange rather than blonde. My hair was far from the picture we selected to imitate and I was obviously not happy about it. I only do my hair once a year and I spent a good amount of money at Parlour today.
He explained that what I like could be achieved after another session of colouring and it could have turned orange because of the previous hair colour. I asked on how I can make it more "ashy" but he only suggested the purple shampoo and let the sun do the work and I doubt this. I wish I could have been given a better idea of what to expect. I don't really know what to feel about this but I'm definitely not happy.
They offered a glass of water but for the entire two hours of being there, I got no water and to top my day off, I got a parking ticket. What a day.
