My mom and I had lunch here yesterday in a spur of the moment decision. We were very happy with the food and the service. We remember when Monterrey Bay was on top of the Jennette Building and its predecessor, the Rodi Grill.
We both had the scallops and they were wonderful...more like a scampi...they just melted in your mouth.
Our waiter, Robert, was attentive without being obtrusive and very polite. The manager, Karen, stopped by our table to introduce herself.
The décor is not overly stiff or formal...we felt comfortable there wearing jeans, having just finished shopping.
As far as the prices go...for the satisfying potions of seafood we were served, the price was reasonable. I believe most lunch items come with a side dish.
