What happened to this place? It used to have lines over 2 hours long, and now there's hardly anyone here.
The customer service was nice but not the most attentive. We had multiple plates and glasses that were piling up and not taken away or refilled in a timely manner.
My glass of Pepsi had a large greasy/sticky spot on the side. Gross. My refill tasted mostly like Diet Pepsi, which made me think they filled it halfway with Diet Pepsi first before realizing their mistake, then filled the rest with Pepsi and thought I wouldn't notice. Bleh. At least the second glass felt clean.
Most of the food was terrible. The jerk chicken was practicality nuked. I didn't know chicken could be so dry. Their prime rib had a lot of inedible gristle that I had to keep spitting out. My wife tried the elote and it was literally inedible. How can they serve food like this? The fried shrimp was dry and the bone marrow watery instead of meaty. The tofu dish was bland and unimpressive. I kept having to put aside food after food after tasting them because they were each so bad. The only good dishes were the fried chicken wing basket and the octopus ink noodles (though it's probably not for most people). The Italian sausage was actually good too. I had a small breakfast potato dish that was decent but sat in a strange tasting sauce.
The desserts were mostly good, especially the passion fruit banana mouse cake. However, the lemon sponge cake was utter garbage.
Overall, we were disappointed with our return visit here. What happened in the several years between our last visit and now? Did they cut back on hiring quality chefs? Quality servers? Quality food?? It used to literally be the best buffet we've ever been to in Vegas, and now it's literally one of the worst. Their prices are still astronomically high and no longer worth it, plus the variety of foods is gone. We probably won't be coming back here ever again.
