  • The express tour ends abt 230 and the deluxe ends at abt 430. The short version: Would i recommend it? No. You will spend 8 hours on a tour that if taken solo should be 3.5 hours. You can drive to Hoover dam in 40-45 mins, the tour is about an hour and back to vegas in another 40-45 mins. The deluxe tour had one hour stop at the sante fe buffet and a 30 min stop at ethel Ms. If time is less valuable than money for you than by all means enjoy this tour. But, if you want to get the most out of your time in Vegas spend a little more and try Detours , Adventure Tours or Pink Jeep as their shuttles only fit 8-12 ppl which saves A Lot of time when you consider Grayline tour busses fit 52 ppl per bus! The long version: You may get a call an hour before your pick up time. They didnt leave a message for me and i didnt recognize the number. They will pick you up and serpentine through the streets of Vegas picking up a number of ppl. By the time i boarded at the Gold Coast the bus was half full and it was 8:50am. We arrived to the Vegas sign to take pictures at about 9:20 and left 10 mins later. The main office was our next stop where we stayed for about 10 mins to be seperated into our specific tour. They give you boarding pass here, there are bathrooms, a gift shop and a cafe with ready made sandwhichs. Its a clean space to grab a quick bite. If you do the deluxe tour there is a buffet at the Sante Fe casino which happens about 12am. So grab bfast at the main office if youre hungry like i was. As a plus the bus does have outlets and a bathroom. We took off from the office at about 10:10. (Yes , i was 1.5 hours into the trip and no closer to the hoover dam). The drive took about 45 minutes. On board youll hear a narrated recording abt the hoover dam and honestly i wish they played a movie with subtitles so i could read or listen to my own music. You get to hoover dam 45 minutes later and stuck around for two hours. The tour takes about 45 minutes and starts with a 15 movie and ends with the exhibits. The tour was not all that interesting. It was more of a hassle as we all got shoved into elevators and went up and down and up and down. Everything on the two stop tour could have been shown on projector screens. We left and went up to Sante Fe casino for the free casino buffet(deluxe pkg only). We stayed there for 1.5 hours and then headed up to the cactus garden. Stayed there for 20 minutes and after was dropped off at the hotel by 430. Tour bus driver was informative but at a certain point i just wanted to say please be quiet. He was like a co worker that wouldnt shut up and you couldnt leave your desk so you were stuck listening to their stories all day for the sake of being nice. At one point i wanted to get off and taxi back to my hotel
