The service tech never actually made it to my house.
I had originally scheduled the appointment on a Friday. The dispatcher called 1/2 an hour after the scheduled time to inform me that the technician was running late and could not make it to my house until 6:00pm. I decided to reschedule my appointment to the next day for the technician to arrive between 10:00am-12:00pm.
The next day at 12:30pm I called the dispatcher to find out why the technician hadn't yet arrived and I was informed that he was "running late" and that they would call me "in the next hour or two". At 2:30 I called again since I hadn't heard back from them and was told that the technician would not be at my house for at least "another two hours".
I decided to cancel my appointment at that time since I had already wasted a good portion of my day off waiting for a tech that never showed up.
While I can appreciate that things may go south unexpectedly on service calls I did not appreciate the lack of communication to their customers.
