I am extremely disappointed in the customer service at Extended Stay America Charlotte on Tyvola as well as on Yorkmont. I arrived to my hotel on Yorkmont only to find that there were no more non-smoking rooms available even though I had paid in full already for one. I was told that my reservations could be transferred to another property. I explained it was 9:30 at night and I had a 4 AM flight. She then told me to make a new reservation at the hotel on my phone instead of transferring it on her end. After I used my personal data plan to do this I explained it was showing as $25 more. She then asked ME to call and see if anything could be done at the other location instead of doing it for me. I called the other location and was told there was nothing they could do even though they were the ones that oversold. I asked for a manager and was told that one would not be in until Monday and the gentleman hung up on me at 9:44 at night on October 15. If this is the way you do business then I intend to give my business to another hotel. I have stayed 3 times in the past MONTH at this chain and this situation has left me so upset over the lack of customer service I will never frequent this hotel again and intend to leave this review on EVERY site possible.
To add to this as I was there the cops were called due to a group of loitering males that got in an altercation with females at the hotel and threatened to "Blow their head off". This is in an unsafe area and they have less than satisfactory customer service practices.
