Last week my friend and I visited the ROM and had a really good experience. We checked out the Dior, Viking and Wildlife exhibits.
The Dior exhibit was fun to walk around. We viewed all of the apparel, jewelry and accessories but found it a little bit smaller than we imagined. There was some history and interesting information that went along with all of the garments and I would be interested in going back on a day when I have the time to read them and fully embrace the experience.
The Viking Exhibit was quite interesting. By the time we made it to this exhibit our attention spans were quite low but it was really interesting to view the artifacts and learn how the Vikings made it to Canada. It's definitely an exhibit made for any history buff.
The wildlife exhibit was my favourite. The exhibit featured the photography that won a global competition. The photographs were exquisite. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this exhibit. I would definitely recommend you check out this exhibit before it leaves Canada.
Now, on to review THE FOOD:
...Druxy's ROM Café:
The café really impressed me since they had a vegan and gluten free entree available. I purchased the vegetable masala on rice and it was really good. I was starving by the time we ate so anything would have tasted amazing at this point. Midway through my dish, I could tell the masala was a bit bland but I still enjoyed it. It was really filling and I was really happy they had something I could eat.
All over, we had a great day at the ROM and I can't wait to see what new exhibits they get this year.
