Luckily I found this place by accident while stumbling around Kensington Market with a coffee in one hand and a piece of pie in the other. My dream of looking badass at a fancy military-themed party was nearly crushed by other army surplus shops and their inferior variety of used small-sized Men's camouflage.
Not only did AAA have a huge selection of fairly inexpensive military-wear that didn't look absolutely ridiculous on me, but the $40 camouflage jacket I wound up buying has a Sergeant Barnes patch on it. Tom Berenger himself wouldn't look as hardcore as I do in my new jacket. Thanks to a super-friendly salesperson known simply as Dave, I also found a pretty slick beret to compliment it. I tried on a bunch of other things, and even though the other items didn't necessarily jive, I never felt any kind of pressure from anyone who worked there. More importantly I had a bunch of fun in the process of wandering the aisles and perusing their selection of strange goggles and obviously useful gas masks.
A cool shop. Not super cheap, not super expensive. A great selection and super-friendly staff. I'll definitely be shopping here for all of my future camouflage and gas mask needs.
