  • I had heard about this salon on Yelp and judging by the great comments, I decided to come in. The salon is so beautiful and sweet and everyone there was welcoming. It really bums me that I can't give them 5 stars. I had come in to get some color on a bad haircut that had been growing out after having had it trimmed another time. Gennette evened out my layers really nicely and put a lot of highlights in my hair. We had talked about how I couldn't quite yet achieve what I wanted in the picture I brought (a balayage) because my hair wasn't long enough yet. So, Gennette did highlights all throughout my hair without them reaching to the scalp, so that they could grow out and not look bad. When it came to the shampoo process, the shampoo girl put the toner on my hair and gave a scratchy head massage with her nails?? and didn't first check the temperature of the scolding hot water. I also noticed when I got home that my toner was uneven and blotchy and brassy in certain spots? I had to fix it with purple shampoo. Now, over time, it's fixed itself and looks fantastic. Genette did an amazing job with the highlights and with styling my hair, however, I spent $180 on this color (which is quite high), and that was with the 15% first timers discount. I was pretty upset about this because of how my hair turned out. I also had dye all over my forehead and temples. I'm giving them a 3 star. I wish I didn't have to, but I wasn't too happy with the whole hair washing experience and about having to fix my own hair :/
