| - Being from Chicago, I have high standards for deep dish pizza. Thankfully, Vito's does not disappoint. I definitely recommend this place for your next pizza dinner.
Driving there, I was a bit leery of the strip mall it is located in. It looked dirty and sketchy, but we decided to give it a shot. Once inside, the place cleans up nicely. There are 8 or so tables to sit at, and at 6pm on a Friday night, about half of them were full. Over the next hour and a half, the room stayed about half full. A lot of people came in to pick up to go orders, which seems like the smart play if you live nearby.
Throughout the evening, the service was great. Our server walked right up to us once we sat down. She quickly took our order and informed us that it would take about 40 minutes for the deep dish pizza. We ordered the small Vito's classic, with their homemade sausage, green peppers, onions, and tomatoes. 40 minutes later, a gigantic deep dish pizza came out that was delicious! It was much bigger than we expected for a "small". There were 8 slices in total, and I couldn't eat more than 2 of them.
Overall, it was a great place. Excellent service, delicious food, and comfortable interior. The deep dish pizza is as good as advertised. The crust was perfect! Definitely give this place a try, and don't worry about its outside appearance -- the food makes up for all of it.
