  • ZERO STARS! Dear potential customer! I'd like to point out that the following critique has nothing to do with the Grand Canyon itself, it is only focused on the grayline tour itself. Do yourself a favor and choose another company for your tour or rent a car, unless you want to spend 16 hours in a bus or at a terminal for only !2 hours! in the park itself. We started the tour with a 20 minute (6:20) delay after we had been told to be there at least 10 minutes early (5:50). After a 30 minute drive, we were dropped off at the bus terminal (never mentioned beforehand) where we had to stand in line to "check-in" (we had to wait in a hall where we had to listen to a sales pitch and we could pay for optional upgrades, later in the day the ones who didn't buy for upgrades had to wait for all others who spent more money, as if they wanted to punish us) and waited for one hour to actually start the tour! (7:35) We then drove to the Hoover Dam where we stopped for 20 minutes (way too long). At 8:30 we AGAIN made a 30 minute stop to buy snacks. At 9:00 we finally started the true roadtrip. We had to realise that shortly before the Canyon (12:00), was a !1,5 hour! break to eat lunch. (Optional 15$ IMAX movie, all others had to await the continuing travel) Lunch was a joke. At 2:40 (after nearly 9h), we finally reached the first viewpoint where we had only !1hour! to 'enjoy' the park. This was waaayy to little time to go for a hike, attend any of the free shows or rent a bike. At the very least we had the chance to take photos and go to the vistor center. Another stop at a different viewpoint was following, where we had again 1h to check out the area... That was about it before we headed back.. Aand agaain we had to change busses at the terminal to get back to out hotel. Eventually after a 18 hour travel (out if which 2 hours were in the park) we FINALLY made it back. It didn't even take us that long from Europe to LV as it took us from LV to the Canyon and back! Horrible and frustrating, we wished we could have enjoyed the beauty of the canyon a little more!
