We adore this theater and drive there - despite living around the corner from Phillips Place -
because the seats are reserved AND are comfy as all get-out.
But as others have said, Cinemark's purchase of the theater has knocked it down in quality, and the other night was just a poor management experience: the lights were turned on with about five minutes left in the movie, the drink machines were turned off despite the fact we were not the last ones in the theater, and the staff was literally sitting around reading phones and stuff, waiting for us to leave so they could finish up and go home.
I get that it's a tiring job, but come on, man. Show a little more respect for us. $40 for tickets, drinks and popcorn isn't a little thing.
