| - Green Valley Ranch has significantly decreased their level of customer service of recent. We often frequented GVR, being local to the area, but we will take our business elsewhere going forward.
The service today was utterly horrible. We scheduled a cabana at their pool and only found out when we arrived that the water misters were complexly broken. According to the GVR staff, the misters had been broken for the season and they were working to fix them. This would have been good to know when I reconfirmed the reservation a few days ago as given the hot temperatures today, the misters would have made the hot temperature quite bearable. To that point, we had a villa at the Paris a few days ago (on a hotter day) and stayed at the pool all day largely to the misters and jumping in the pool as needed. Without the misters, however, we had to leave the GVR pool early to get out out of the heat.
On top of needing to leave the pool early, the staff of the casino and pool were rude and surly. I complained to the Pool Manager, who eventually told me he'd "throw us a 10%". It felt like we were dogs being treated with a bone. I told the Pool Manager that his discount was completely inadequate given that I would have gone somewhere else or used the regular pool. The Pool Manager indicated that his supervisor, Danny Perrera (not sure of his name spelling), would only authorize a 10% discount and that he would not speak to me since he was in a meeting.
I will still come to The District to visit Lucille's BBQ, but Green Valley Ranch - not so much...
