| - I'm writing this review as I sit on hold for the 3rd time in a week with customer service for a nightmare of a rental from this place. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. I got a good price through Costco and reserved a car for pick up on a day I guess everyone in USA was coming to Phoenix, (NASCAR, baseball tournaments, playoffs). We land after a 3 hour flight and are shuttled to the car rental center. The line for budget's counter was out of the door, which was the first bad sign. There were 2 people working the counter, sometimes it was just one. Obviously whomever manages this place could care less about the customer's time and staffing needs required to process the daily reservists expected to appear at their counter. There were several other employees standing in the internet counter area, where no one was allowed to approach unless they had prepaid on line. After standing there for over an hour I signed up for the fast break program but was told by the 800 customer service person the current reservation could not be combined with my fast break account and I'd have to stand in line to do that. So, we stood for another hour and honestly the line was not moving. I walked to several other rental counters who were making bank off of Budget's disgruntled customers. Last minute walk up rental is at least double and I saw a lot of people abandon ship and go elsewhere. I should have followed suit. I stood in the internet line for another 45 minutes and when I approached THAT counter I was yelled at from the boundary marker not to come up unless I had made my reservation through Budget.com. The guy literally yelled across the lobby that he would not answer questions and not to approach him. I was sent down in the garage to the counter for service from that employee. I guess that's the fast break line. After another hour wait, he was able to combine the account to the reservation and we left. Did the misery end there though? NOOOOO. I called customer service and asked for a price adjustment due to standing in line for an inordinate amount of time. I received my invoice a few days after returning the car with fuel surcharges, no credit, and late automated check in. Another hour on the phone, more hoops to jump through, emails to send, receipts to look for. I rent from other places at least once a month. I will NEVER rent from here again. The guys at the Sixt/Fox counter were especially helpful. You'd probably be better off going there. The car rental industry seems to be owned by one or two companies operating under the umbrella of a few names. Man, what a scam. I've spent an entire 8 hrs dealing with these ppl. A days work!
I just got off the phone again! So, sorry for the long review, being on hold was boring.
Don't go here!
