| - I got a 25 min flight as a gift, it is truly an unbelievable experience.
**TIPS - Get hydrated and eat some food in your system before you go! Most common mistake is to not eat before (so the pilot told me)
Pre-flight - 3 stars
I had the first flight of the day at 7AM, and was told to show up at 6AM for pre-flight instruction. NO ONE showed up until 6:30! However the pilot (Steve) was really apologetic when he did show. Since it's the day after Thanksgiving, I guess we can understand why he slept past his alarm. The hanger is pretty cool. They have a pretty good sound system in there, and I can see they can host one heck of a corporate event. They have 3 planes in the hanger, and is told they'll be getting more as their business is booming. After signing some waivers and also explained their picture/video package ($120 is the cheapest package, I decide to skip it), I was lead up to a room for some basic pre-flight instructions and explanation on what we'll be doing up in the air. Since we're the only one up in the air this morning, we'll just be doing some air stunts that you only see at the air shows. Everything we do will blow any roller coaster ride you ever experienced, out of the water. As we leave the classroom, we went down stairs and a photographer met up with us. The photographer went over all the package with me again, but I just didn't feel like paying for pictures/videos, I figure I could just take a quick picture by the plane with my phone later (I was denied later when I asked) so they kinda railroad you into buying a package if you really want pics). When I told the photographer I didn't want to purchase it, he looks kinda offended and just walked away and told the pilot to roll. That is what made the pre-flight a 3 star experience.
The flight - 5 Stars
I'm not exactly an airplane expert, but I was told the plane we're flying is the Ferrari of airplanes. They are basically stunt planes that is very light and reacts very quickly. We took off (at 45 degree angle) and flow about 5 min to an open area with little aerial traffic and let it rip. I can't remember every single maneuver we did, but we must have done all the tricks in the book, a few I remember are, immelmann turn, hammerhead, barrel roll, inside/outside loop, cobra turn, spins etc., then started doing all kind of combos in the end. He started off easy with the basic rolls and keep checking up just to make sure I feel ok as he step up the tricks. The flight felt very short as we still have to fly back still but it was very intense. Imagine a 25 min roller coaster ride..... but 500% better. AWESOME - nuff said.
Post Flight -
After stepping out of the plane, shook the pilot's hand and thank him for the flight. After that I asked if I can take a quick pic by the plane and he said "not supposed to". Maybe he was scared the photographer was gonna get mad.
Overall, an unbelievable experience. The picture thing was a little off-putting, they should give you at least a basic picture or something. Anyhow, still highly recommended. I had a headache for rest of the day, but I heard it's normal to feel a little hung over after as your body is not use to that kind of stress. If you have the money, once in a life time experience. Better than any $500 you can drop at a casino.
