If I could give 0 stars I would. First of all, I found this cleaning company after googling carpet cleaning services and saw they had a deal for $39/ 2 rooms. I'm thinking wow! That's such a good deal for my tiny apartment and I don't want to spend a large amount of money for a temporary place that I'm staying at, so I book an appointment. My appointment is scheduled between 10am - 12pm but that was the only option when booking online. (I should have checked Yelp reviews first but I was too blinded by the cheap deal)
So when the company calls me at 8am to confirm, I tell them I want them to come at 10am to get it done and over with and they say a technician is near and will be here by 10am. I'm waiting for them and they did not show up until 11am after I had called and asked why they haven't shown up yet when I specifally asked for a 10am cleaning. It didn't bother me too much since I was at home anyways. So 2 men show up in a van and come in to inspect the carpet. They did not speak English very well but I managed to understand what they were saying to me. So they walk around with their shoes ON, not even covered and I'm thinking how unprofessional but at the same time they will be cleansing my carpet so maybe they'll put it on when they get started.
So he tells me "$39 for 2 rooms" and I say yes that's what I want. But I also wanted my living room to be cleaned and this area is fairly small. And he tells me $20 extra for the living room. $59? Okay. Other places want to charge $80+ so I just agree with the price and move on. He then tries to up sell me which is the most annoying thing. The apartment I live in is new and recently built. I have a small dog that I just got and he is still getting potty trained so that's why I needed cleaning to be done. So he tells me $50 to spray my carpet with protectant so that it won't get dirty again. And I say no thanks. And then he starts spraying chemicals on a small area of the carpet and has his partner scrub that area. And then they bring in a machine to extract the soap I guess? This took like 3 minutes and then he says "would u like us to deep clean all 3 rooms for $289?" ... $289!!!!! No other carpet cleaning costs that much for a regular soap/water clean. I say no? And when I did talk to the lady that called me to confirm my appointment and asked her if the deal was a deep clean she said YES. False advertisement.
So he asks me again if I want the carpet protectant and again I say no. So him and his partner begin to Steam Clean my carpet because that's what that deal is. A steam clean. Basically just applying water and heat to the carpet and cleaning the surface. It took them 15 minutes to clean all 3 rooms of my tiny apartment and they still had their shoes on. They wore shoes into my white tiled bathroom so there are black skid marks everywhere. I am just so disappointed in this carpet cleaning "service".
My carpet is soaking wet & I guess smells a little fresh but it might be because I caught him spraying something ? Maybe a fragrance of some sort idk.
I say spend a little more in a better cleaning service that actually will deep clean and not a steam clean. This is the first time I've had my carpet cleaned, lesson learned.
