| - We did business with Overnight Prints for years. In the past year or so they have gone downhill so much that I had to find another print company. I have had multiple orders for our customers that have all had varying issues. I understand issues happen, the worst part about this is as of lately you can't get a person on Live Chat, they have had phone issues where no one answers, and they don't respond with compassion when you finally do get a person to resolve your issues. The issues I have had with our past orders include: Misprints where the design is not aligned on the paper, the design will be cut ON the safe zone line, not doing glossy coatings when it was ordered, color issues between three sets of cards where 1 set looked sun faded because it was missing coating of any kind and the colors were different, lost / delayed orders when expedited shipping was paid for to hit a certain deadline (they just got stuck in their system and the poster never showed up for the tradeshow), and cards that looked fuzzy and off-aligned when other sets in the same order came out perfect.. Most recently as of today, a business card order came with round corners instead of square, and glossy on both sides when the back was supposed to be written on, and multiple chunks of the 500 cards are visibly different paper sizes - all similar, but they are not the same sizes. The design is not centered on the cards, especially the smaller sized ones. The design is almost touching the bottom, with lots of padding on the top, and they are not completely straight. I could tell immediately when I opened the box that they were messed up because you can see the size difference. I took pictures straight away before even discovering they were round corners and glossy on both sides. So now my customer can't write her appointment times on the back, and they are worthless. So I go back to the order email, and notice they emailed the receipt with the correct order, but the PDF attached was different in prices and features. The PDF attached to the same email did not match (it had the round corners, and glossy on there). They need to get their act together, in the meantime I have stopped using them months ago, but since the last two orders were for "ourselves" and cards I agreed to pay for, I did two last card orders and now immediately regret it. So, finally, never ever again. I used to brag about how fast and good the service was. Disappointing.
EDIT - 12-12-2016: I did receive a response today from Overnightprints.com with an offer to reprint the latest order. But this is the first time that I have seen a statement like this from a printer: "Due to our 1/16th of an inch cutting tolerance, shifting does occur in cutting. We are not able to guarantee a perfect centered cut." and this one: "I wish I can guarantee that cuts will be centered each time but that is something we do not offer. This is why we do not suggest to have a border on the design as it may come in slightly or off centered." - I have never received cards that were different sized papers and misaligned designs from any other vendor, it seems like that would be a priority of being in the print industry to begin with? That's kinda the job of a printer, to make sure things come out good enough to pass a quality check and the customer's print job should look good enough to be unashamed of passing out their business cards.
