  • THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE SCAM. *****WARNING***** Do not take your vehicle here!!! On May 24th, we took our truck in for a standard oil change. After completion, we pulled our truck out and the check engine and wrench lights came on. IT WAS NOT "ON" BEFORE WE BROUGHT OUR TRUCK HERE. Hunter then runs a diagnostic test and tells us about a faulty mass air flow sensor and 2 bad O2 sensors. Then, the oil change mechanic "Michael" immediately points out some of the wires to the mass air flow connector were frayed. Hmmm? They were perfectly fine before. They quoted us $377.36 to fix this problem. We left and returned on the 27th to drop of the truck so that they can fix the sensors so that the check engine and service lights can turn off. On May 28th, we were told by Hunter, that the "mass air flow sensors" were not the only problem. He re-quoted us $1,500. and tells us the PCM (PowerTrain Control Module) needed to be replaced and programmed. Suspicious about drastic quote increase we took our truck to a neighboring competitor only to learn it was simply a blown fuse (saving us hundreds of dollars.) The blown fuse occurred during the oil change and while the wires were being tampered with according to the competitors diagnostic testing. We are now taking our complaint to corporate and possibly legal counsel. In addition to their scam, the mechanic took no steps to keep our vehicle clean. They were hand prints all over the hood and inside the driver side of the truck. Not to mention the unremovable greasy footprints on the floor mat. I usually don't judge people by their looks however; the mechanic looks suspect (crackhead-ish sorry.) Exhibit A - the tampered wires and their attempt to cover it up. Exhibit B - blown fuse discovered by another auto shop. ******UPDATE****** after taking our complaint corporate, they acted immediately. We were refunded our money that was paid to fix the damage done by Just Brakes. Corporate also addressed Management at this location. We are satisfied with the final resolve.
