I have read quite a good amount of the reviews and to those complaining about having to pay for services, you got to understand animal shelters get very little to no funding from the state and depend on adoption or charity events. I have recently fostered 3 kittens there and yes they had some GI issues but it was nice that everything is covered under their veterinary care while I am fostering. I can tell you right now for what they did those services easily be 100+ at a veterinary office but in return all they will get is the adoption fee that may or may not cover the services that were provided.
Speaking from experience of working in a vet office, getting hold of animal shelters and animal control is just a pain, just be persistent. I had a cat dumped off at the clinic whom i later adopted cause I got his ID from animal control and still paid a fee at animal foundation even though I knew he was already neutered. Who cares.
Quarantine ya its a bummer but no place will board your dog for free. It's just protocol if your animal bites another animal or human.
So overall, ya this shelter is a bit of a cluster but everyone I have met and dealt with has been amazing to me and my foster kittens. They are doing what they can with what they have. People just need to use some common sense and be responsible.
