Dr. Lam was very kind and thorough. The exam was nicely paced and very professional. I never felt rushed. The tech, Kaylee, is efficient and conscientious. After she does the initial tests and puts me in the room she pulls up pics of my eyes and explains that one of the tests she administered (photos of my eye balls) costs $35 out of pocket (outside of my insurance coverage). If I want the doctor to read the pics it will cost me $35. I nearly got out of my seat for what felt to me like an upsell pressure tactic. Kaylee was cool when I declined, so I stayed. After the exam I asked about putting a new lens in frames I purchased a year prior, yet had never worn. The fee for this was $259, plus $25. I declined. The office is clean & efficient. I disliked having advanced technology dangled before me, but they do this also in dentists office. They are probably as frustrated that insurance won't cover it, YET. Dialation shows the same thing and is covered by insurance. It's just a pain in the eye.
