  • Awesome green space in uptown. Another parking lot down; and many more being converted. Keep an eye on the meck county parks page for events - I enjoy the free orchestra shows and the summer concert series. Bring your lawn chairs and some picnic food for a good time. Food trucks usually show up for the larger events and Knights baseball games. Also a great spot to watch the Friday night fireworks when the Knights play a home game. This park and the adjacent ballpark has been a growth catalyst. Handful of new apartment towers, new restaurants, new events. This is why I'm so excited for the first ward park currently under construction.
