| - The Kimpton is ok . The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because it's new and the view we have from 1613 .
Uptown Charlotte needed another "high end " hotel but the way the service is ran here from the valet, to the front desk , and the in room dining this review should be 2stars.
-Needs organizational improvement
-Valet was nowhere to be found at 11:30pm on a saturday night
-In Room Dining , so disappointed. First , gratuity is included , but we tipped $5 extra which brought our tip to $10 for a $40 breakfast meal and we didn't get our ketchup or strawberry jelly brought with our food even after I called to let Jacob know our condiments were missing . I actually called back a third time because the condiments were never brought up at all. DISAPPOINTING .
The food tasted mediocre , the toast was beyond dry , with no jelly or butter ... what can you expect. I ordered the oxtail hash , it was ok , kind of cold but maybe because we waited 30minutes for our condiments and just went ahead and ate .
Other than the service , if you want modern appeal and a beautiful view then this is a choice, the bed was comfy , the room temperature and aesthetic appeal nice .The Kimpton is still fairly new so not sure why cleaning hasn't removed noticable stains on the carpet , but it's not a good look. I expected so much more .
