| - I never thought I would say this...but Golden Corral rocked!
I don't know if it was this particular location, or if I was just super famished...but the food was plentiful and delicious.
I'm a little bit of a food snob...but I was pleasantly surprised with my dining experience at Golden Corral.
Why was a self-proclaimed "food snob" dining at the likes of Golden Corral...?
My dear, sweet little nephew wanted to treat his aunt to a special dinner. Awww, how cute is that?
Although his mom, my sister, didn't think I would enjoy it, I enthusiastically embraced my special time with my nephew with open arms...er...open mouth and stomach:)
And even though I am dabbling in the world of vegetarianism (it's not a cult, it's a movement that is slowly taking over the world and individual's minds...hee hee), I was very satisfied with my food selections.
Starters: I enjoyed a wonderful spinach salad
"Real food": scrumptious dinner roll(s)...hee hee, chicken noodle soup (sans any observable chicken), fresh tasty fruit, greens, fried fish (don't recall if it was catfish or tilapia) and shrimp (okay, okay, I'm more of a veg-curious gal...I skip out on meat but I eat seafood)
Dessert: yummy bread pudding, freshly spun cotton candy, and the obligatory rice krispie treat covered in chocolate from the chocolate fountain (I say "obligatory" because I didn't really want any chocolate...but I just couldn't pass up the chance to dip my treat in the fountain of coco goodness:)
The total bill came to around $18 for two adults, two children and 1 toddler.
You can't beat that!
And to make our visit even better, our server Sandra (Sondra?) was exceptionally kind, friendly, personable, and attentive to our needs.
Overall: Me want more Golden Corral. Me likey!
