  • Last week, when my daughter called with, "daddy, my car sounds like motorcycles and the heat doesn't work". All I could see were dollar signs and all I expected was a gruff, "we can fit you in sometime next week". Then, a stroke of good fortune happened: I met the folks at this shop, and have become a huge fan of Scottsdale Muffler and Automotive. After a lengthy, informative telephone call, the manager found room for me the next day. And following a thorough analysis of the problem(s) and cost, the pros here eliminated the "motorcycles", fixed the heat, and after a few hours, off I went. I am neither friend nor kin of the staff. And I still know nothing about cars. But I do know this: if you like patience, promptness, professionalism and price, SM&A might become your choice for when you get the inevitable, "daddy, my car doesn't work" call.
