| - Where do you get amazing Middle Eastern/Greek food on the west coast?! Good Fellas, of course! Went here about a month ago while I was in the area and wanted some tasty food, and was not disappointed.
On my first visit, I went all out (yes, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach, and it doesn't help that they have pictures of their food -- lol). So I ordered the gyro platter, the Fattoosh Salad (seriously the BEST one I've had in a long time), the 2 Meat Combo with Beef and Chicken, and I wanted the Hummus so badly (get it! It's made in-house!!!) but couldn't decide... so the amazing staff gave me a small plate of Hummus on the house! How awesome are they?! Super amazingly awesome!
While waiting for your food to be prepared, they serve you this finger-licking good Lentil Soup (don't really stick your fingers in though, it's soup so it's hot!) It looks kind of weird (it's green), but don't knock it til you try it -- I'm telling you, your tastebuds will thank you!
Not long after getting the Lentil soup, the food came out! (Great food, amazing service, and short wait?! Yes, please!) The complementary Hummus was absolutely divine. Pretty sure I licked the plate clean (with the use of the pita bread served along with it). Then the Fattoosh Salad -- wow! Absolutely phenomenal; my mouth is watering as I think about it. So yum! The ingredients are so fresh and crispy and then the dressing has the perfect flavor and tangy-ness to it; all the flavors marry perfectly.
Then the main entrees: 2 Meat Combo and Gyro Platter. Oh.Em.Gee. The meat with both entrees was so tender and flavorful, perfectly cooked. Seriously you don't even really have to chew it, it's so tender it will melt in your mouth. And the rice?! I didn't know rice could taste so good... add some sumac to it as well for an extra treat; you're welcome!
Needless to say, I couldn't eat all of the food I ordered so I took some home in hopes of having an amazing meal the next day -- but the food didn't last through the night. (Yes, I was a fatty and ate the rest of it that night. Lol)
I had such an awesome experience and the food was so amazing that I specifically drove there again last night to have their Fattoosh Salad (yes, it's THAT good), and I ventured out and tried their Lettuce Wraps as well. The Fattoosh Salad of course did not disappoint; I'm just sad that I didn't grab a fork to go so I could dig in as soon as I left, lol. The Lettuce Wraps were just as delish! The chicken had the perfect seasoning on it, and the sauce had a nice flavor with a slight kick to go along with the lettuce... Very nice combination of flavors!
I think it's safe to say that as long as Good Fellas will be around, they've gained a customer for life!!!
