You get what you pay for. I had a fabulous time!
My friend and I joined the "Grand Canyon Sunset Helicopter Tour with Vegas Strip". Karen was our captain. She did a great job explaining to us some of the features and history of the surrounding area of Vegas all the way to the Grand Canyon. Very funny lady.
The flight was awesome. We had little turbulence, even though it started out as a cloudy day. My friend was REALLY afraid of heights before we went on this tour, but I insisted that we went on the helicopter tour because it beats sitting on a bus for 14 hours, when you could use that time doing something else if you are visiting Vegas for a short amount of time. My friend is past her fears and was very psyched after she got off the helicopter ride.
The sandwich was nice and big. We had enough snacks and fruits to last us to past the end of our tour. If you happen to be in a tour with non-drinkers, Bottoms up! You may just get the entire bottle to yourself.
Catching the sunset was great, but flying around the Vegas strip at dusk, it was just breath taking. I would definitely go back!
Oh, Papillon also have a nice option to upgrade to the front two/three seats when you book your tour with them. Chances are that you may be lucky to be seated there anyway because of the weight balance, but I didn't want to take the chances, so I paid a bit extra for the upgrade. It's an experience you'll remember. If you think it's pricey, hunt around for coupon codes.
