Used a Groupon here. Parked next door in the lot for $3. Could I have parked at the nearby casino garage across the intersection for free?
All of the exhibits were extremely well done. Lots of interactive exhibits and video presentations in this former beautifully restored Federal building. Very interesting history of organized crime and primarily Italian immigration in this country. Special attention paid to the Mob in the growth of Vegas too.
Not sure I'd bring any kids here if you're squeamish about them seeing old black and white blown up poster sized photos of dead guys with bullet holes and blood all over them.
My only two gripes about the place was the credence given to the involvement of the Mafia in the JFK assassination, and the audio tour using handsets we paid extra for in this museum. I've used the audio tours in other museum and thought they really added something to the tour. But here, they really don't because ... the exhibits here are so good, you really don't need to supplement them with the audio tour handsets.
Friendly staff too. Nice gift shop. I really recommend this museum if you're tired of hanging around the casinos.
