| - Shea Rose Farm is where I first learned to ride, at age 6, in 1995. There I was taught by Carol Land and her many wonderful horses. I learned to walk, trot, and canter on Shadrack (who is still there today and well loved). Carol blends her faith and passion for horses into a unique holistic riding program. Not only did I learn to ride, I also learned many life lessons, such as, responsibility, commitment, and perseverance. As I grew up and advanced she gave me more and responsibilities, like assisting in lessons and summer camps.
Over the years I have encountered many other riding programs and none compare to Shea Rose. Many programs only teach you how to ride around a ring or jump over a course to win ribbons. At Shea Rose farm you will learn to be a well-rounded and confident horse person. Just some of the activities Carol incorporates into her program: drill team, competing trail riding, games on horseback, pony club, vaulting, training/coaching, ground work, driving, and more.
