Montreal style bagels baked in a wood oven available 24/7? Nice! If you have ever been pregnant or married to someone who was pregnant you will appreciate the availability of carbs late at night.
This is my first time trying Montreal style bagels and there are a number of differences from the ones I'm used to in California. These bagels are smaller, thinner and much sweeter. I prefer the soft, chewy and doughy kind of bagel.
Staff was patient while I tried to decide what to try from among their many, many choices. I bought 2 plain bagels toasted with salmon cream cheese on one and sun-dried tomato on the other. They were generous with the cream cheese which I enjoyed immensely.
Late at night this place becomes a hang out for elderly men sitting around chatting enjoying their coffee and bagels, the younger crowd takes their orders to go. Friendly and efficient staff.
