  • This is coming from a full fledged VEGAS LOCAL. So I can't speak upon everyone else's opinion especially from those who aren't here long enough to understand the way things are done here. Trust me, when you do learn the "rules" (for the most part there isn't many) you'll be able to enjoy yourself at these major nightclubs in Sin City. Based on my experiences and the many friends I have who do still live and party like tourists, it's almost unanimous that they would prefer XS over some of the newer and perhaps nicer nightclubs out there including Hakkasan, Omnia and Marquee. XS in Vegas standards, looks pretty old actually. The decor is starting to age and it's definitely far away from the video walk ways and big ol' spaceship light thingy from Omnia. Although it has an amazing lineup of DJs, you can make a case that Hakkasan (and Hakkasan Group) has the creme de la creme for superstar DJs. But the reason why my friends and I will continue to randomly text each other "XS tonight?!" every Sunday for Nightswim or Monday for Industry Night is just the ease of being able to get in touch with the promoters and their usually standard admission policies. A bunch of places change but consistency is key so we can prepare for the nights we can walk right in or night where we may have to pay a cover. The worst thing a club can do is bait and switch and I don't have many issues with that. XS in general really takes care and nurtures relationships with their locals and that's key when it comes to good word of mouth for the endless amount of friends that visit weekly.
