  • Um, no to shopping here. I love saving money and I can be cheap, but I think I'm finally learning to respect that old adage "You get what you pay for." I'm sending this letter off to the store manager today. It'll be interesting to see if I get a response, but I would just take better service. "To the Store Manager: I was in your store June 20 at 6am in the morning. I would like to point out a member of your team's rotten behavior. Red hair, speaks Spanish, 17-ish? He was upset I'm guessing, because he had to stay past his shift time. He vocalized this, so everyone in the line was made aware. We've all had jobs that have pushed us to our limits, but I don't need to hear about it. What I got was sarcasm and attitude. I normally wouldn't put the effort into saying anything, but perhaps that is what contributes to the issue. I live in the neighborhood near your store, so to say I'm there often is an understatement. I enjoy the value that I get from shopping at Wal-Mart, what I don't enjoy is being dressed down by teenagers or just crappy service in general. I bought I $50 stainless steel trash can and several frozen meals among other things. He suggested that we put them in the trashcan to keep them cool and it would save bags. Actually, a good idea that I agreed with. He then proceeded to throw them into the trash can, and put the remainder of my items into bags. 2 items per bag, several bags. He lost me there on the part where we save the environment. I was then apparently dismissed because he moved on to the couple behind me, leaving me to scramble to pull all those bags off the carousel. I spent $140.00 with you that day. At least, let me have the customer service to go along with it. If staffing is an issue, guess what? That is not my problem, and I should not be made to feel like it is. The Saturday before this it was a young lady, who dropped my bag of red delicious apples onto the conveyor belt and bruised them. That went along with the lightning speed she moved with, so that I had to go back to the frozen section and replace all the items that had melted down while waiting in her line. It seems like some serious attitude adjustment is needed and I'm hoping to see better in the future, or there is always Fry's right down the street. I'm just SO tired of going to this store and meeting its unhappy workers, and then being made to feel that it's my fault. Thanks for letting me have my say. Here's hoping for better service and attitudes in the future."
