While on a recent visit back to the Burgh, my husband and I were looking for a place to grab a few beers. Being beer snobs, we were only interested in the craft variety. My Yelp searching led me to 99 Bottles (Thanks fellow Yelpers!!).
We arrived at the former Pizza Hut outpost on a Thursday afternoon around 2 pm. There were a few folks at the bar and a few others seated at a table. We opted to sit at the high bar in front of all the beer fridges (mostly so we could drool over the selection).
Given the different beers on draft, I was struggling with a decision. The lovely bartender was helpful and allowed me a sample or two before I decided on a pint. I'm a big fan of brown beers so I settled on a NOTL Stout by Full Pint. I followed that with a Black Chocolate Stout by Brooklyn Brewery and finally a B Craft Black DIPA by Aracadia.
The draft selection and the bottle selection was most impressive. We purchased a few bottles to-go on the way out. We only drank so I can't speak about the food. Overall I was extremely pleased with the selection and will certainly visit again on my next trip home.
