  • I went to Umami for their NFL kickoff party! It was very busy but the hostess quickly accommodated my husband and I and seated us in the beer garden outside. There were 12 TV's outside that I saw, a lengthy bar area, and some table games as well. I would definitely recommend eating outside; however, they raised the window shades halfway through our meal which in turn raised the temperature about 10 degrees. Keep the shades down guys! The view isn't worth it unless you like looking at trashy souvenir shops. I only tried the sliders and sweet potato fries (because they were free for the party!) but both were delicious. However, the Pepsi I ordered was very watered down and the menu was very basic with little variety at all. I was impressed with the good service! Our waitress Rachel was juggling several rowdy tables but made sure to bring over drink refills and ask if we needed anything else. She had a huge smile as well. Take note, management! She deserves her tips tonight. Overall, I enjoyed the kickoff party, food specials, and the football atmosphere but wouldn't return on a regular night.
