| - A friend had recommended this place so we thought we would try it. We went there with a party of 5 and were seated pretty much right away. Loved the decor, the old dark wood with the fluffy couches and chairs. We thought we were in for a treat. The wine list came on an iPad, but there was not a lot of information about the wines. We finally settled on a Cabernet and asked for a decanter. That was when we got a blank look from the server. She must have asked the manager because he came to our table and said "We have a decanter, we just have to find it". Ok, Im willing to concede that maybe this place doesn't usually serve wine that needs to be decanted very often. Our server was mostly non existent for most of the night. That was surprising because the place was mostly empty. The appetizers were good, we had the bacon w/ quail eggs, pot pie chicken nuggets and guacamole. Everyone at the table thought the appetizers were great. Several of us ordered the filet, mostly cooked medium to medium rare, all 3 were cooked well done. This happens, I know, you can always send it back. But when your are paying $42 for a filet alone, you expect them to at least cook it right. There was absolutely no flavor to the filets at all. We ordered some sides and they were disappointing. The Brussel Sprouts had some sour aftertaste that had nothing to do with Brussel Sprouts, the Asparagus was completely bland. For a restaurant that has prices like these, the food should be better. I would highly recommend folks to skip this place. There are much better places in Vegas for the same price or less with better food.
