Really disappointed. I was excited as heck to see this place so close by, and after reading through the menu, I couldn't wait to go. I miss a good fry-up for breakfast, so I knew I had to give that a try.
Whatever was done to those rashers is known only by the chef and God. It was clear they were not fried, and they had a greyish, mottled look of a meat that had been boiled or steamed. The black pudding had good flavor but was so incredibly overcooked and dry, it could have been packaged and sold by Jack Links. The best thing on the plate was the wholemeal soda bread. It was crusty and hearty and I reckon would taste great with some soup or with a load of good butter. Our table also had a burger and some chicken tenders. The feedback on the burger was, "The bun was nice." About half of the chicken went unfinished.
Very steep price point for some horribly abused rashers and a "nice" burger bun. We won't be going back.
