| - So my kid was having an epic (EPIC!) meltdown on the way to TJ's on Mallard Creek and after 45 minutes (ya, I live in the north boonies) he finally conked out so I decided to head 10miles further south and hit this location. Turns out it is further but actually faster to get to thanks to easy freeway access uptown. I found parking in the Metropolitan deck to be easy and actually give bonus points for not having to dodge puddles in the rain.
Got inside and had to put the screecher in his stroller to keep him happy. The store is not exactly big so I opted to do a hand basket/stroller combo rather than block the aisles w/a stroller/shopping cart combo. I cannot tell you how many people offered to help me, seemed like everyone. The best part, an off duty employee saw me drop something, stopped her own shopping and replaced my item. I filled one hand basket and left it up front while finishing the rounds.
Little man got fussy and an employee I will now refer to as 'crack dealer' walked up to me w/a brand new box of seasonal Sea Salt Caramels and said, 'Here, you need this.' It was pure heaven in the middle of my chaos. Yeah, he sold me a buncha boxes (at $4 each these are awesome teacher gifts) and I know that's great marketing, but he knew well enough to offer chocolate, not trail mix, to the woman nearing the end of her rope.
If you haven't been, their food is even better than their top notch customer service. Affordable and always excellent, they source locally, keep the prices consistent throughout the year (no sales, no special cards to carry) and support the small business owner as much as possible. 10 Stars.
