I work in mortgages normally, so home inspector's are a common thing that I see. Some are quacks and some are not. Usually a home inspection can last between 30 minutes to and hour. Which in my opinion, you really don't find to much when you go through the house that quick. IN this case we were doing the inspection for about 3 hours at the home. The team was very friendly and answered many questions. They looked high and low. He found several items that were noted in the inspection that helped me get the price lower price on the home. Or 1500 in closing costs. So the inspection did pay for its self and that is why I'm leaving 3 starts. The reason that I'm not leaving 5 stars is we looked at the A/C, and it "looked" as if it was performing normally. However turns out the A/C does not work, and its a costly repair. I understand that he is not and A/C tech, but I wasn't looking to spend 4-6k on a AC repair.
