You ain't nothin' but a greyhound
Drivin' all the time
You ain't nothin' but a greyhound
And you ain't no train o' mine
Well, the King has spoken. And I bet he wouldn't have ridden around in Greyhounds if he were still alive.
It's hard to know whether I should give it a good rating or a bad rating. On the one hand it's a pretty sketchy place with lots of homeless people and panhandlers inside and out. I have nothing against the homeless, but it's a depressing part of a bus journey and some people would be freaked out by the panhandlers - many of whom aren't homeless, and will say all kinds of things to get some $$ from you.
On the other hand it has so many good memories for me - as somebody who traveled all over the whole country on Greyhound buses when I was a teenager.
I remember dropping the love of my life off at this particular station after a horrible fight. Then coming into the station later to look for her. I think fights are more common when you are younger. Then things just kind of get numb and dull and emotionless somehow. Over time. Without you ever meaning for them to. It's hard to explain. But this is a great spot for the station, because if you walk out the front door you are right in the middle of downtown, close to everything. And that's much better than having it in some Industrial District 3 miles away.
