Went here yesterday for a touch-up on my wrist tattoo that Jason did back in May. And did he ever touch it up! In fact, he pretty much redid the ENTIRE tattoo, and took my ideas very seriously and discussed with me what I wanted for round 2. It took us a bit just to get the exact right shade of yellow I wanted for the cupcake spider's frosting. Just like the first time, everything was very clean and he was very personable and we had a nice chat during the entire session.
Jason does great work and also takes great pride in his job and welcomes constructive criticism. He wants to make his customers happy but also wants them to leave with a beautiful piece they can treasure for the rest of their lives. He is an artist first and foremost and if that is what you're looking for (it should be what you're looking for since this is on you for life!) then come see him for sure. I don't think I've ever met another tattoo artist who seems genuinely dedicated and thankful that he gets to do what he loves every day.
The only criticism I have for the shop is with a comment the receptionist made to me. Jason was running about a half hour behind, and she told my boyfriend and I that we could either chill in the shop or "go and get a drink and come back." Even though this was a touch-up appointment, you should never tell your tattoo customers to go get a drink beforehand! Alcohol thins the blood and if it is your first time coming to the shop you're more likely to make a bad decision - that's why most artists, if they see that their clients are under the influence of anything will refuse to tattoo. She probably didn't mean anything by it but next time specifically say "non-alcoholic"! ;)
Overall this shop is amazing and I'm sure when I want more work done I will come back. And definitely hit up Jason for your work, he really is fantastic with his work and his customers.
