  • Dave & Andy's is the best ice cream in Pittsburgh. They always have a wide range of flavors, from traditional vanilla to birthday cake. They make their own waffle cones, which you can smell when you walk by the store front. I love their chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, my partner likes the birthday cake ice cream. I've been going to D&A's for the better part of the last 20 years and I honestly can't say I've ever had a bad cone. All of their ice cream is good. Every waffle cone is good, fresh, and really compliments the ice cream. I have never had any of the milkshakes here but I imagine they are probably just as well done as the actual ice cream. I grew up in Pittsburgh and went to college in Pittsburgh. My favorite part of meeting new people who were not from Pittsburgh was taking them to Dave & Andy's for the first time! Honestly, I don't knew who these people giving bad reviews are. Parking is on street but there is also a public parking garage a few blocks away. I am not sure what the pricing is at the garage but you should be able to find on street parking. Bring cash! You won't regret it. They can get kind of busy on hot days at the end or beginning of the school year when Pitt is in session but for the most part, they serve you quick, they serve you quality and they serve you cheap. I love Dave & Andy's and you probably will too!
