And I quote: "the car won't start if you change oil" when he points to the manufacturer recommended oil or their equivalent of full synthetic oil. Whooaaaaa, when I overheard him say that to my friend I got up and told her don't get anything yet.
The only thing I needed to hear from the head mechanic when he spoke to her versus the other people he bullshitted, made sign waivers, up-sell on additional and unnecessary filters was to tell her that changing from the specific oil would cause it to not work anymore.
A car will still run if it has no oil. Just a heads up for you all so you don't get bamboozled.
One of the hardest people to deal with are mechanics because most people don't know anything about cars and have their complete trust in them. The lies upon sales pitch would make me to never return here. A simple oil change and requested air filter (they didn't even check because dust was intact on the metal clips and screws not even touched) took a little over an hour. Oil change, an hour, really? They keep you there longer making you think all is not well.
I rather deal with lazy people than liars. Never coming back here.
We were here on a Saturday from about 10-12.
