| - Ah...Le Bouchon. As a subsidiary of one of the more famous restaurants, French Laundry, I came in with some high expectations.
First off, the service was very friendly and accomodated our party of 12. He was very knowledgable about the wine and gave us some tips on what to order. We had a very tasty house Cabernet. The bread that they serve is fantastic. I've been to France and the bread here is certainly up to par. They dump the cactus looking bread in the middle of the table. I think I ate enough bread to last a whole week without going hungry. Anywayz, our party ordered similar dishes, it was either the lamb chop, salmon, or steak. The lambchops were excellent as well as the salmon. Maybe one of the best salmon dishes I've ever had. The steak wasn't bad, nothing I've never tasted before. My gf had the clam chowder which was very tasty. For dessert we all split a Dark chocolate mousse (very good), Creme broule (decent), and some kind of waffle thing served with chocolate sauce (not good).
I had a great experience here and will definitely be back for lunch (update... they only have brunch here. Oyster bar starts at around 3 while dinner starts at around 5). Not mocking the food but I enjoyed the bread so much that next time I think I'll just go with a soup, bread, and a glass of wine!
