| - I have to say that ever since I left Los Angeles many moons ago, I found myself having an occasional Yoshinoya craving. I don't know what possessed me to pull over and try this restaurant out ....ok, it was the cool looking building and a sign that said "Noodles", but I'm absolutely glad I did!
I went in there with miso ramen in mind. As I was looking over the menu, I came across this Gyu Don. The picture looked familiar, so I read the description . It said 'thinly sliced beef with onions in a sweet soy sauce over rice.' Say wuut!?!? Naturally, I ordered it and OMG!!! It hit home! It reminded me of the beef bowl from yoshinoya but way, way better!!! I was totally in heaven! Sprinkled some of that red pepper and it was bomb.
For appetizer I had this chasu bun thing. Looked like a taco but with bread. Very tasty!
I had to give it 4 stars because as much as I liked the gyudon, I can't justify paying 9 bucks for it. Maybe if they lowered the price to $7, I'd be down to go back and get more, but as of now, I got my fix and I'm good.
