  • If you are looking for great customer service, you won't find it here. At least not at 8 AM on a Friday. I called before stopping in to make sure I didn't need the original card I purchased with to make a return. When I asked, I got a huge huff with some attitude and, "Well, do you have the receipt?" I did have the receipt and my question was whether or not I needed the original card, as my boyfriend had made the purchase on his card and I did not have it with me and didn't want to make the drive if I couldn't make the return. The next response was, "Well, yes, we like to make the return to a debit card. Do you have a debit card?" I told him yes and he said that would be fine. Cool. Fast forward, I get to the store about 15 minutes later and approach the customer service counter. I wait a few minutes, as it looked like the clerk was in the middle of something. No greeting. No eye contact. No nothing. I figured maybe I was at the wrong side of the counter so I moved to another spot. Still nothing and without any acknowledgement, the clerk walked away! As she rounded the counter and walked right past me to do something else, I asked her if someone would be available to help me and she looked SO annoyed, took a huge look at her watch (are there customer service hours when a store is open??), and said, "Probably not. But maybe I can." WHAT?!?! Oh my goodness. The kicker is, the return took less time than I took standing there waiting for acknowledgement.... And she didn't even ask for a card at all. She just refunded me cash. So, there seems to be inconsistency in their return rule. So why the 2 stars after a horrific morning? The prices are great and they have a lot of offerings. I also really like their sushi! (the sushi chef, by the way, is ALWAYS so sweet and helpful). I've also had friendly enough help at the checkout lines, though I prefer self-checkout. Basically what I'm trying to say is, you may be ok if you don't have a return to make (and if you come during non-peak hours, which appear to be early to mid morning in weekdays, otherwise it can get pretty crowded!). Hopefully it was just an off day, but we shall see... OH!! Also, check expiration dates. I bought some beer last year that had been expired for months at the time of purchase (the thought beer crossed my mind to look before buying, especially with beer).
