  • My dog is relatively young (3 years old) and never really had health concerns before. She has only been to vet clinics for vaccinations and yearly health exam. After taking her to the groomer, I was told she would need to be seen by a vet because she has a slight fever and an ear infection. Downtown prices were extremely high and every clinic insisted on adding a bunch of tests (obviously extra $) in order to treat her. I found that clinic only and was shocked by the 29$ fee for seeing the animal, since Downtown price run 75+. I drove there (without an appointment) and had to wait about 1 hour before seeing a vet since it was extremely crowded but for a non-emergency, it is way worth it. The vet was gentle and helpful. I told her about my concern for her fever and reinsured me. She took her time and made sure she examined my dog thoroughly. She prescribed the appropriate drops and antibiotics for the ear infection without adding any expensive, unnecessary additional tests. They have the medication on site and the prices were very affordable. I was quote 300/400 dollars for the visit fee, test and medications Downtown and ended up paying 130 dollars. They also include a free follow up visit in the next 2 weeks. The décor of the clinic is so so but what a lot of people don't understand is that décor is mainly for US, fur baby parents and that pets don't care about that. Golden accents and beautiful sofas have to be paid for and don't guarantee you a better vet. I will be an ongoing client at Brimley-Lawrence clinic for sure.
