  • I came here back last October on a Sunday afternoon with 4 other people using a Living Social voucher, but it wasn't until today I remembered wanting to write a review. The deal was $32 for 2 hours of bowling, for up to 6 people. Upon arrival we were informed that the deal wasn't made properly or something and we would be expected to pay $20 additional to use it on the 10 pin bowling. Not very impressed and still didn't have a complete understanding of why they were justifying it, but to be honest it didn't seem worth fighting over when we just wanted to throw some balls at some pins and the voucher was a few weeks from expiry anyways. But really, it bugs me when they are really that insistent on nickel and dime-ing its customers on a fixed cost service. The lanes, balls, shoes, etc are already in the building and paid for. Just honour the voucher as you're supposed to and you'll leave a better taste in the customers mouth which makes for a higher likeliness of us returning. But I digress. It had been a few years since I'd been bowling, but have to say it was actually a lot of fun. That said, when it comes to the facility itself, lets be clear: this is not a fancy or high end location by any stretch of the imagination. The interior was really dated, the digital scoreboards were tempermental and required staff assistance numerous times to correct weird errors taking place, and the lane itself had a weird sticky patch which made for a bit of a variable when going into your throw. The tv in the room playing a football game at the time had a horrible picture (all stretched and pixelated), and there was really bad music playing at very loud levels. There was us and maybe 3 other lanes being occupied at the time, and one of our players complained about not being able to find a ball with big enough holes (insert dirty joke here). In the 2 hours we were there we played 2 games and if nothing else, I can say we did have some fun with it. The problem is that while the bowling itself is 4 stars of fun, the downfall is the facility and its staff, leaving for a 2 star experience.
