  • Hi Lennox! I told you I would write a review eventually. Seeing these reviews so far, I am so glad I didn't come here and found an amazing place nearby that I love. I was going to move to Lennox from Chicago a year ago. It started off smooth at first, but then things got progressively nasty. For starters, Rachel, their manager (apparently), is ridiculously slow with everything. Taking over a week to give a simple response, thus making the entire process take almost a month. She's lazy, she doesn't remember a single thing, and knows nothing of managing. I often found myself repeating things multiple times. Most of the conversation never concluded with a resolution, but rather being told that they need to check and would call back. When being told they'd call back when they have an answer, I get nothing. It was just me calling back ALL...THE...TIME. Here was when I ditched them - After being told I'd be called back (again) in regards to a deposit, they said they'll call back in 15 min. I asked them if they can reduce a pet deposit, I have two cats and they are asking $300 each plus rent. I simply asked if we can reduce it down to just $300 instead of $600, since I will be giving them 6 months of rent UP FRONT. I figured that was a perfectly reasonable thing to ask. The woman was all excited, blah blah blah because this ridiculous process looked like it was finally coming to an end I'd have an apartment. So, I am waiting for my call back. 2 hours later, still nothing....so I call back, of course (because I really need a place soon and am done waiting for these clowns to do something). The woman who told me she'd call me in 15 minutes picks up. I tell her "Hi, it's Henry calling." Her response? "Okay, yeah?". I say, "Uh, you told me you'd call me back in 15 minutes about the pet deposit?". Phone clicks and transfers to someone else. Lol, WTF? At that point I was done with the place, but I waited for the sake of amusement. I get the ever reliable and pleasant Rachel! What did Rachel do? Well, nothing as usual. I had to remind her all over again why I am calling. She rejects my asking. So, I ask her what the total will be then and she BLOWS UP at me on the phone! All I asked her was what the total pet fee was with rent and all their other ridonculous additional fees they make you pay. She actually screamed at me with a price and then realized she made a mistake after I called her on her mistake. After her stuttering and screaming some more at me I knew that was it. I guess that not only does she not know how to manage anything or understand customer service or even her own pricing, but it turns out she doesn't know how to do basic math either, and I cannot have such a person taking my rent each month or just touching other peoples' money in general. While she was still screaming like a chimp on fire, I interrupted her and told her that her customer service sucks, that I'll be writing a review about this, and that I would never live at Lennox because of her. She responds "Well, if you still want to rent, let me know. I bursted out laughing when she said that and then hung up. That was the end. Rachel, if you are still at The Lennox, please go away. You're turning Lennox into a waste of land.
