| - We got an estimate which we thought was fair, and called to schedule the appointment for the work to be done. They took our credit card, as they needed to charge us half up front, and told us they would call us back to schedule the work. A few days later our card was charged but no call to schedule us.
Day 9 we still hadn't heard a word from them, so I called and the lady I spoke with was annoyed (and did not hide it well) and said they were very busy and would call me when they were ready, but said I could leave a message with Chris (I'm guessing an owner or manager??), which I did.
The next day there was still no word or no call back from him--or anyone--so I called again, this time to cancel the job and the charge.
They put me through to Chris, and this time he answered. He apologized and said they were very busy and he had only received the job two days ago (it had been 10, not 2) and that he had never received my phone message (hmmm....). To be fair, he actually sounded like a nice guy, and seemed genuine in his apology, but I explained we didn't like the fact that they were too busy to call us or do the work, but not too busy to charge us.
We would have had NO problem waiting but no one wants to be charged a substantial amount of money to a company they do not know, and then never hear back from them. A simple phone call to us at any point would have alleviated all of this....
