| - Hotel reviews can be heated, so I'm going to stick with my pro's and con's for this one as well. Con's first.
Cons: Rooms are on the small size, but totally OK for us (family of 3, the 3rd being a toddler). The parking garage is very small, but we managed just fine with our Sub. Forester. As well, being from Chicago, 12 bucks a day for us was a bargain. :) The location is great, but people should know that they are in a college town. Don't expect absolute quiet. We had no issues getting Junior down around 9:30pm. He slept great. Yes, this hotel is under renovations. Oh, one recommendation. More trash cans. Only one we had was the tiny one in the bathroom. Also, those cute windows by the floor are a huge Parental Nightmare.
Pro's: The rooms are cute and have the nicest decor. Plenty of pillows (if you're into pillows). TV has oodles of channels to distract young children when you are trying to get ready. The bathroom is small but has groovy dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. PLENTY of towels too. The shower is a bit short (I'm a tall chick at 5'9" and it was just high enough to get under) but nice and clean and hot water aplenty.
Yes, this place isn't cheap, but it's clean, has parking and some really friendly staff. The location can't be beat either. So remember a few things.... this is a college town. This leads to LOTS of places to eat but LOTS of noise at times.
A big shot out thank you to the front desk people. They were always friendly and smiled and gave our little guy the CUTEST little Land of Nod fox as we were leaving.
