| - Tuesday 4/21/15 Firstly I appreciate MOST of the staff we had the pleasure of meeting on our stay. Edna was ever so kind to check us into a Suite upgrade. I can't thank her enough for that. It was smoking room, that's all the could offer with early check in for clean rooms.
Room was spotless, I liked the um... Night view best. The mountains are lovely to see but I live here so I guess I'm used to the beautiful mountain view. Basic hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, & Kleenex inside the bathroom counter. ONE ash tray. They had not wet bar BUT the bathroom counter was where they put the ice bucket and 4 NY NY Clean glasses (I still won't trust it). It stunk to high heavens when we walked in, smoke hit me in the face it was to be expected I held my breath as long as I could until I opened the ALL vents on the window to air out the room with fresh air. Ran the AC on COLD (second notch).
They had a wonderful menu of the spa facilities that I chose not to go for. 24 room service (or you can go downstairs to America their cafe same food). Wifi was disappointing, not fast enough for my phone. I guess someone might of been HOGGING it for themselves or it was that bad. I used my 4G phone connection.
We were also at the bar in America their 24 hour cafe the before our show. Loved the service, the manager checked on us frequently. I read about their beds being to die for top 3 in Vegas. We had a luxuriously comfortable king bed, which I took a power nap on. We had a show planned later in the evening. Over night, I got a full 6 hours before I woke up to some construction beeping faintly in the distance (We sleep with the TV on low to drown out the city noise I'm a light sleeper).
Eventually I got the resort fee waived at registration by another kind lady I can't quite remember her name. Short, black hair in a bun, soft spoken, possibly Asian. She genuinely cared about our stay. $88 for a Tuesday night on the strip. I left the vents open thinking the housekeeping might appreciate the clean air. I was disappointed the little housekeeping card didn't say a name who serviced the room very well done. I'm giving this a moderate rating because I booked with M life I'm sure you could book cheaper with flight, hotel & car included though using Expedia. Travel sun-wed for cheaper rates. NO buffet in this strip casino have to visit Monte Carlo we cut through Hersey's World to get to the front. You can go out by the Sports book and food court area too. I wanted fresh air and to check out the renovations to the front of NY NY and Monte Carlo.
I did give post a 1 minute 33 second video of our room and it really was nice. They have a parking garage for free or valet which is what we always do to avoid accidents. You could park on the top floor of the parking garage in see it from our suite window, building Empire Tower. Floor 33. If I booked again through their Mlife program online I would have to wait until I get an email for the bundles they have with dining credits when you book. They go fast.
